white fused alumina is produced by fusing pure alumina in electric arc furnaces at the Boksitogorsk Alumina Refinery.
Due to its ultra-high strength, white fused alumina is used for producing abrasive tools, and because of its resistance to high temperatures and low thermal and electrical conductivity, is in the production of ceramic and refractory products.
